About the Role
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Business Development to join our team. This role will be pivotal in leading and expanding our overseas influencer marketing business. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with extensive experience in business development, particularly in the influencer marketing or social media industry. They will be responsible for crafting and executing strategic business development plans that align with the company’s growth objectives. This role requires strong knowledge of international social media platforms, excellent communication skills in English, and exceptional client relationship management abilities.
Key Responsibilities
● Client Acquisition & Relationship Building:
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to drive growth in overseas markets.
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
● Strategic Planning & Execution:
Create and implement comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights, adjusting strategies accordingly.
● Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with internal teams, including campaign managers and account managers, to align client expectations with deliverables.
Monitor project progress, ensuring timely and high-quality execution of campaigns.
● Revenue Growth:
Achieve and exceed sales targets by converting leads into loyal clients.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services to existing clients.
Proven Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a business development or sales role within the influencer marketing or social media agency industry, with a demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills to effectively engage global clients.
Industry Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of major social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, along with a strong understanding of their ecosystems, trends, and the creator economy.
Client Relationship Skills: Exceptional negotiation and relationship management abilities, capable of building trust and fostering long-term partnerships with high-value clients.
Established Network: A proven network of relationships with brands or agency partners actively seeking influencer marketing solutions.
Adaptability and Drive: Ability to excel in a fast-paced, global environment, adapt to changing market demands, and consistently deliver results under pressure.
